Kavya, a wealthy heiress, goes on a trip with friends to the Andaman Islands and, in an accident, badly injures a young tribal man from the forest. Unable to leave him, she brings him to Chennai for treatment, and the man she names Vasi, who speaks no language she knows, has to adapt to a city of cars, phones and glass towers. Their bond grows as she tries to protect him, while powerful people with an interest in his forest home take notice. Jayam Ravi plays Vasi almost entirely without dialogue, relying on physicality, and the film introduced Sayyeshaa to Tamil audiences. Directed by A. L. Vijay with songs by Harris Jayaraj, it is an adventure-romance with a message about tribal land and the environment.
