Rafoo Chakkar (1975)

Dev and Ram are two penniless musicians who, by bad luck, see a gang murder and have to run for their lives. To hide, they disguise themselves as women, 'Salma' and 'Rita', and join a women's music troupe travelling to Kashmir. Dev falls for Ruby, the troupe's singer, but can't tell her who he really is, while 'Rita' attracts an elderly admirer, and the gangsters are never far behind. Rafoo Chakkar is an Indian version of the Hollywood classic Some Like It Hot (1959). It was a hit and is a fine showcase for the young Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, who later married. Kalyanji–Anandji's songs, including 'Ek Main Hoon Ek Meri Bekasi Ki Shaam Hai' and 'Tum Kaun Ho', are still remembered.
