Description

Banjaran is an early-1990s romantic drama starring Sridevi and Rishi Kapoor, set partly among the nomadic banjara people. Its story of love, a feud and reincarnation follows lovers whose bond seems to carry over from a past life, a favourite theme of Hindi cinema of the period. Sridevi, then at her peak, carries the film with her dances and dramatic scenes, and the songs were composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal. Director Harmesh Malhotra had earlier made the hit Nagina with Sridevi.
