Chaalbaaz (1989)

Anju is a gentle heiress tormented by her greedy aunt and uncle, who are after her fortune. Manju, her twin, grew up poor and fearless, singing and dancing on the streets, with no idea that a sister exists. A chance switch sends each into the other's life: Manju gives the cruel relatives a taste of their own medicine, while Anju finds shelter with Manju's friend Sunny, played by Rajinikanth, and both sisters meet love along the way, Manju with Raju, played by Sunny Deol. Chaalbaaz is a lively reworking of Seeta Aur Geeta and a showcase for Sridevi's comic genius, which won her the Filmfare Best Actress award. Her rain dance in Na Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai and Kisi Ke Haath Na Aayegi Yeh Ladki are among her most loved numbers.
