Aao Pyar Karen (1964)

Aao Pyar Karen ("come, let us love") is a 1964 Hindi romance with Joy Mukherjee, one of the leading romantic heroes of the early 1960s, opposite Saira Banu, who had made her debut a few years earlier opposite Shammi Kapoor. Like many romances of the period, it combines a love story kept apart by family and circumstance with comedy and a string of melodious songs. The music is by Usha Khanna, among the few women music directors of the era, and the song "Haath Aaya Hai Jab Se Tera Haath Mein" is the soundtrack's best-remembered number.
