Description

Arun Verma is a big-hearted violinist who shelters a crowd of orphans in his rented house, struggling to feed them while a feisty journalist, Seema, moves in as his tenant. When he inherits a gadget invented by his late father that makes the wearer invisible, Arun finds a way to fight back against Mogambo, a cartoonish warlord who hoards weapons and food and dreams of ruling the country. Mr. India is one of the most beloved Hindi films of the 1980s, a family adventure mixing science fiction, comedy and song. It was the last screenplay written by Salim–Javed as a team. Amrish Puri's Mogambo and his catchphrase Mogambo Khush Hua became legendary, and Sridevi's Hawa Hawai and her Charlie Chaplin comedy sequence are among her most famous scenes.
