Description

He is a poor but gifted student; she comes from a rich, status-conscious family. They meet at college and fall in love, but her family will not accept him, and a scheming suitor works to break them up. Separated by class, deceit and fate, the two lovers suffer apart, and Vikas's life takes a tragic turn. Do Badan ("two bodies", from the idea of two bodies sharing one soul) is a classic 1960s romantic tragedy from Raj Khosla. It is remembered above all for Ravi's music and Shakeel Badayuni's lyrics: "Lo Aa Gayi Unki Yaad", "Naseeb Mein Jiske Jo Likha Tha" and "Raha Gardishon Mein Hardam" are among the most loved sad songs of the decade. Pran plays the villain with relish.
