Wikipedia
Wikipedia's summary box credits Gol Maal to two writers and omits Sailesh Dey, who wrote the story it is built on and was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Story for it. The same page lists that nomination further down. The film archive credits three writers, with the story Dey's alone.
How we knowWikipedia's infobox gives writer = Rahi Masoom Raza (dialogues), screenplay = Sachin Bhowmick. Its awards section lists 'Best Story - Sailesh Dey' among the nominations. indiancine.ma gives story = ['Sailesh Dey'] and writer = ['Sailesh Dey', 'Sachin Bhowmick', 'Rahi Masoom Reza']. The archive also records an editor, Subhash Gupta, and two producers, Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Romu N. Sippy, that the infobox does not name.
The article's opening paragraph and its own table of remakes do not agree. The paragraph names a Malayalam remake, Simhavalan Menon, which the table leaves out; the table lists a second Tamil remake from 2013 which the paragraph leaves out.
How we knowLead: remade in Tamil as Thillu Mullu (1981), in Kannada as Aasegobba Meesegobba (1990), in Malayalam as Simhavalan Menon (1995), in Sinhala as Rasa Rahasak. Remakes table: 1981 Thillu Mullu, 1988 Rasa Rahasak, 1990 Aasegobba Meesegobba, 2013 Thillu Mullu - no Malayalam row at all.
